Android is the biggest Mobile Operating system with almost 3/4th of the market. And Google has officially released the next version, Android 11 as a beta update for Pixel devices yesterday. It focuses on 3 things: People, Privacy, and Controls.
The changes introduced in Android 11 are listed in their blog. The Notifications are now grouped under Conversations in the notification bar, there are now Bubbles for chats like Facebook Messenger. The controls changes include a new dedicated smart device control menu in the power button menu, it also has a new media control in the status bar with QS tiles.
The privacy section includes some big changes. One time permission now allows the user to give permission for the mic, camera, or location for just one time. Permission auto-reset will now reset permissions for apps that are not used for some time. There are improvements in background location use as well. The Apex modules introduced with Android 10 are now doubled to 12 and will help in improving privacy.
For advanced users or developers, Google has introduced a lot of changes to Android Studio with wireless ADB where you can connect your phone over Wi-Fi, faster development times. Other improvements are with Kotlin for app development, jetpack libraries, and Google Play Console which helps developers to grow their business.
realme has already started long term beta for realme X2 Pro and have listed Android 11 as testing for the particular device and hints that it will be coming soon. realme CMO had also promised 2 Android updates for X series and Android 11 update for Narzo Series. While all of these changes in the UI might not come to realme UI 2.0, but some of the features like screenshot view are already present.
