realme 8 5G with MediaTek Dimensity SoC appears on Geekbench ahead of April 22nd Launch!

realme is on a launch spree, it’s not even been a month since the company launched realme 8 series in India. Yesterday, we broke the news that the company will launch realme 8 5G and realme 8 Pro 5G in India on 22nd April. These smartphones are also confirmed to make their official debut in Thailand on 21st April, a day before India launch. Earlier this morning, we spotted RMX3241 on Geekbench database. To those unaware, RMX3241 is the codename for realme 8 5G as confirmed in NBTC certification earlier. The Geekbench listing also reveals some key specifications of including presence of 5G enabled MediaTek Dimensity processor. Let us have a detailed look at the information.


realme 8 5G will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity SoC!

realme 8 5G Geekbench

realme 8 5G has managed to score 570 in single score and 1766 points in multi-core test in Geekbench 5 as per the listing. The listing further reveals that the smartphone will be powered by MT6833V/ZA SoC, this is the code name for the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC. The Geekbench listing also confirms a 8GB RAM variant of the realme 8 5G. We can expect the company to offer the smartphone in 6GB RAM variant as well.

Similar to realme 8 series devices, the upcoming realme 8 5G will boot realme UI 2.0, based on Android 11.

realme 8 5G: What we know so far?

The smartphone also appeared on FCC certification website sometime back. FCC certification revealed that the realme 8 5G will have a large 5,000mAh battery unit with 50W fast charging. It will feature a Type-C charging port for data transfers, and charging.

The FCC certification had confirmed that the device will run on Android 11 based realme UI 2.0. Speaking about dimensions, the device measures 162.5x 74.8×8.5mm and weighs 185gms. Furthermore, the device might feature a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, as it is rumoured to feature a 90Hz high-refresh rate LCD display. Speaking of realme 8 Pro 5G, the smartphone is expected to feature the Mediatek Dimensity 800U chipset.
