realme has been expanding its product portfolio since last year constantly. Along with smartphones, they have been pretty focused on IoT devices apart from usual accessories. This year they are reportedly launching multiple watches and recently made debut in wearable category with realme Watch. realme Watch runs on company’s own proprietary OS and can deliver notifications on your wrist. Recently, realme Watch sources were leaked revealing some interesting findings.
As per the sources released by detescape, realme Watch runs on its own closed source OS based on FreeRTOS. This OS can also be ported to other low power MCU’s. The release is the 6th revision update to the band – RV006A was released on 3rd June, which shows the internal testing of the band to iron out the bugs in the UI before launching. There is also good evidence of Hindi language implementation which has been going on for over 2 months.
To recall, the sources are provided by the chip manufacturer to the OEM for tweaking their software and modifying it as per their need. Since the sources are now available, advanced users can now use it to make their own watch faces, add additional features, etc. We will be bringing an unboxing and full review of realme Watch soon, so stay tuned to realme Smartwatch section for all realme Watch coverage. realme Central aims to become a one-stop solution for realme users across the globe, join us on Twitter, and Telegram.
