realme X3 Series to ditch AMOLED display in favor of a 120Hz refresh rate display, and will pack Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+!

The smartphone industry, especially on the Android side, is becoming more and more specification centric. From an insane amount of RAM, that you’ll probably never need, to high megapixels count, we’ve all come across the marketing mumbo-jumbo and gimmicks. However, a recent trend that has picked up, is the high refresh rate screens. Until now, the refresh rate of smartphone screens was capped at 60Hz, and then began a wave of high refresh rate screens on smartphones, predominantly 90Hz and 120Hz. The problem arrives when certain OEMs sacrifice the screen quality for higher refresh rates. After POCO, realme is the next brand which is jumping on 120Hz refresh rate train. All the realme X series devices launched till date in India had AMOLED display, but seems like it’s going to change with upcoming realme X3. Today, flipkart teaser page has confirmed that realme X3 will launch with 120Hz refresh rate in India, which we’re assuming is not a AMOLED display as higher refresh rate AMOLED displays are pricey as of now.
